Flora Street SS 2017 — Grace Hallman

This collection was created for my senior studio project, it is titled Flora Street. This collection is inspired by urban beaches and the culture and vibrant flora that live within them. The prints are derived and abstracted from both plants and architecture found in cities at the beach. The surface of the textiles was created with hand-painted techniques, digital printing, and reflective screen-printing ink. These garments are sporty, yet-feminine and designed to make any woman feel empowered and confident when wearing them.

I applied for and recieved a NC State University grant for this collection and to study the use of reflective inks on different textiles and their application on garments.

It was presented at Charleston Fashion Week on March 14th 2017 and at Art2Wear on April 28th 2017.
